It's almost as if Bethesda designed Fallout 4 to work in a console-like couch set up. Most of the problems stem from mouse acceleration and Field of View. I'm not normally one to get motion sick but some of the settings Bethesda has opted for make playing Fallout 4 for an extended period quite an issue. During my brief foray into Bethesda's wonderful new world-ending scenario though, there was one overriding problem - motion sickness. I’d recommend copying and storing the file the mod replaces, which is FC_m64d3d12.dll, just in case you encounter any difficulties down the line.Fallout 4's out, and I can't be the only one counting down the hours until I can get back to it. There’s a different zip for Ubisoft+ and you’ll copy it into your bin_plus folder. The zip from Nexus Mods is free to download and extract the material from the Far Cry 6 bin folder. Much happier! I hopped into a couple aircraft as well, and it looks like it improves the view inside many cockpits, though the differences don’t seem to be as dramatic. I took a photo of how it looks both pre-mod and post-mod on horseback (I’ve set my FOV at 110). It doesn’t let you define a distinct FOV value for driving or riding horses, rather it keeps the FOV setting you’ve chosen for running around on foot and applying it to everything else.

The Far Cry 6 FOV Fixer mod will take care of that annoying problem. As you get around, a lot of your screen’s real estate is accumulated from the back of your horse’s head. It’s annoying, like you’re smooshed up against the windshield when you’re in your vehicle.

That’s even closer to the standard on-foot FOV setting of 75, which is a little baffling, and it doesn’t matter how much you yank the slider around: you can’t change your FOV while in a car or on a horse. While you may switch your FOV settings by clicking the button below, your face is slammed back into an extremely dreadful FOV of about 50 when you jump into a car or onto a horse. However, PC players quickly realized that Far Cry 6 is limited in size due to an FOV slider. There aren’t many yet, but one in particular will make a lot of players happy. Mods have already begun to appear, and Far Cry 6 has been out for just a week. Your face won’t be pressed up against the windshield or smashed into the back of your horse’s head.
